This blog is based on the article "Using InternetBased Children's Literature to Teach EFL"

It is funny when like adults we see children around 5 to 7 years old in the bus, street etc.. reading every single announcement that they find, the funniest part is that, we can only appreciate this phenomenon in children with that age, maybe because like most of the beings, when a new ability borns, it is interesting to apply it, but with the pass of the years, this become routine.
Today, basing my analisys in the article, I'm going to try to show you a interesting way to not lose that desire in our students.

Resultado de imagen para storyThe article starts showing us the importance of integrate reading skills in educational processes, some of the evidence that it proves can be find in students needs... for example, Learn grammar in context, see interaction, bus most important the vocabulary increase.
Most of the time, classes are not enough to achive the vocabulary that students need, because as teachers we know that, there are other important activities to work on, so vocabulary most of the time, is learned through extra activities. That is why reading pedagogical based books is taken as a useful tool.

Something that called my attention was the "Five fingers" strategy, but most remarkable the reading levels (Independent, Instructural, Frustational) And all the activities that can be apply it in order to develop that levels.
For example: Find understandable books, based the classes to prepare students to understand better the readings, etc.

In conclusion, reading is one of the best ways to develop the second learning process, as teachers we need to be ready to develop this skill through all the ways possible, even if it is online or through books, that is what make teachers what they are, being ready all the time.

If we analyze the title of the article we can understand it as writing skill, effectively this is the main idea of this part.
First, the principal thing that got my attention was, the issues that this kind of processes can have in the curriculum. because for propuse an idea, we need to know if the idea is possible, having that in mind, the article presents the issues in a real way. Some examples are:
-The role of the teacher in a wired classroom. This point try to explain how important captable teachers are, is logical to see a bold man selling shampoo? no right? we need to know what we are doing.
-The resources needed for conducting online lessons. This is maybe the most important part, to work online we need to have online sources, the problem is that in El salvador, not all the schools have the possibilities to develop those kind of classes.

Second, some ideas to work in this type of classes are presented, practical activities are what teachers want, the article show us some of them, for example:
-A Letter to a Friend (www.marlo.com/card.htm)
-A Formal Letter (www.amnesty.org)
-A Description of a Festival of Ceremony (www.tourism.wales.gov.uk)
-A Description or Review of a Book, Film or Play  (www.imdb.com)
Why did I choose those specific activities?
Beacuse they are real life situation, and are understandable for all age students, and that is what internet is supposed to be, a easy way to develop our reality.

To conclude, writing is a output skill, a necessary one, most of the educational processes, do not develop this skill correctly, but sometimes is not because the skill is not important, is because, the time
But, that can not being a excuse, some sources like this article, help teachers to develop them through interesting online ideas.
