Realize for a moment, if we make numbers, 100 years ago, the first world war got started, 70 years ago the first women help to choose a president, 49 years ago the men visited the moon, 40 years ago was the rock age, 30 years ago El salvador were passing for one of the most sad and terrible wars around the world, 20 years ago the computers in a classroom was a really nice dream, 10 years ago this writter has 11 years old, being more deep, around 2 hours ago the same writter was planning what to write in his homework blog.
There is a really famous salvadorian phrase that says: "Even the holies cries the losing time" the time is the only real thing that we can not stop, but we can learn how to focus it.
The article states that like teachers we sholud improve students autonomy, an autonomy based on meaningful learning, and real life skills, to achive this type of educational utopy, the article explains that through ICT TOOLS, students can find their own way to learn, basing the method in Vygotskian point of view.
One of the most remarkable points was: How important the Autonomy and Autonomous Learning is for our students, and how the ICT helps them to develop them.
What the article expose in this part is about the role that students should have to perform in order to show desire about professional and life fields and how the tecnological new tends and methods help them to achive the information. How can we notice that our students are responding to this utopic curriculum?
Well the actitud to "want more" or "Give a plus" is the answer. Those roles helps students to develop properly in their life and professional fields.
In the article we can find different strategies and programs that can be compared with real life situations; such as: Listening skills, reading, Etc.
Other point that was rich is the "Meaningful learning"
What is more satisfactory to a student that realize that what they learned in the school help them with a REAL LIFE problem?
So that is exactly what Meaningful learning states.
And thanks to new tecnological tools, is easier to put our students in those contexts that are necessary to develop their own capacity and knowleadge.
students are captable to reach information and put that information in practice in real world, the principal benefits of this is that students learn how important the education is.
In conclusion, real life and tecnology are not to separated, is important like teachers to know how to take this things in the same time and way, preparing our students in the best period of time to make them the future that we dream on with.

I agree with you Diego Menjiviar. We as teachers should encourage students to improve their autonomy based on meaningful learning tasks, not without mentioning that we must include these tasks with real life situation in order to catch their attention to the topics. Besides, I do think that we need to make a survey or a short investigation in order to know the topics that are interesting for students.
ResponderEliminarTo conclude, I would like to share a question with you:
Do you think that if we use very often technology as a tool, will students become lazy?
